Make Oregon Free Again
A Campaign for A Better Oregon
I believe the life-long politicians are the reason our government is in the shambles they are today. They have lost sight of what the government is supposed to be doing and are caught up in the quid pro quo game. While new people may not be used to "the way the system works", it would allow us to see the weaknesses of our government system.
Our state has many challenges to overcome in the next decade. We have an ever growing housing shortage. We need to find a way to help our citizens have a safe affordable place to live. We need to re-evaluate our forest lands. We are continuing to do the same things when caring for our lands, but the fact that we keep having large deadly forest fires shows we are not necessarily doing what is needed. We need to help our citizens with food security. We need to look at our ability to feed our state. We need to not rely on importing foods when we can grow some of that here in our state leading to faster more nutritious foods getting to our citizens. We need to work on the safety of the citizens. We need to include in the safety more mental health options for adults and children in need. We also need to hold the judiciary system accountable when it comes to upholding our laws.
Eric Pinnell's Core Campaign Principles
- Proper care of our forests and land use to help prevent forest fires.
- More financial responsibility of the government to better our care of the citizens.
- Support those who will work to secure our constitutional freedoms.
We need to clean up how government runs and operates currently to allow for a more efficient way of handling tax revenue. This would allow the government to help the citizens where they actually need help. We need to re-evaluate the cliff system we currently have in our welfare program. We need to re-work it where families can work toward getting off government assistance instead of keeping them perpetually on it. We need to return responsibility and control of ones life back to the citizens. We need to stop making policies that only take things away from or impose restrictions on the people. We need to promote environmentally sound policies. These policies should help citizens be able to choose more friendly environmental impacts and not force decisions upon the people.
